Each holiday season, The Salvation Army engages in the tradition of "staffing the kettles" to promote the plight of the needy in Clay County. This practice is critical to The Salvation Army's cause, as the money it raises supports the organization’s programs for the rest of the year. Thanks to the generosity of thousands of Clay County residents and businesses, The Salvation Army can continue to provide valuable programs such as the Social Services programs designed to help the needy with food and monthly bills.

During the holidays children receive gifts through the Angel Tree program. Clothing, food and other items are donated to individuals and families and senior citizens receive gifts and visits. The Salvation Army of Clay County assists thousands of people during the holiday season.
